In an era of rapid environmental change and globalization, a degree in Geography helps you to understand and address some of the most important issues in our world today, including climate change, food resources, water quality, racism, sexism, economic inequality, and more. Graduate students can pursue a Ph.D. in Geography, along with an optional specialization: Climate and Environmental Change or Information Systems and Remote Sensing. Our department is the principal location of training in GIS and Remote Sensing on campus, offering a variety of programs for students in this vital field.
